Meet the Guys
Meet Blake:
I started Texas Duck n Dove because I love to hunt, and I wanted to share that with other people. When I started guiding hunts several years ago, we hunted dove, deer, hogs, and even some exotics. Since then we've added turkey hunts and duck hunts, both of which have turned out to be my personal favorites.
For me, It has always been different when it comes to duck hunting. Maybe its the fast-paced action that I love, or I suppose it could be being able to talk and cut up between volleys. Whatever it is, I know that bird hunting is for me.
But, I've learned over the years that not everyone thinks of hunting like I do. Some people want to just relax in a blind and wait for that monster buck. Some enjoy the rush you get when you hear a bunch of big pigs grunting and fighting their way to the feeder.
So I've added a few guides to our operation that enjoy all of those things, too.
Whether you're a seasoned hunter or the new guy wanting to learn, we have a hunt tailor-made for you. Hope to see you soon.

Meet Austin:
Austin joined our team several years ago, and his family has become part of ours. He started as a guide and has worked his way up to part owner as well.
Austin says, " For as long as I can remember I've had a love for the outdoors. I went on my first duck hunt at 15. Although bagging limits and tagging out is what we strive for . . . it's more than that. It's where I feel the closest to God. The quietness of a deer stand or duck blind is where I hear God.
I am grateful to get to hunt and to have an opportunity to help teach new hunters. I love getting to share these experiences with fellow hunters."
Austin always does a great job in the field, and his love of hunting is obvious. He's also trained some really nice dogs, and you'll love watching them work in both the duck blinds and in the quail fields.
Meet Jesse:
Jesse joined us about 4 years ago, following in the footsteps of big brother Austin. He's an accomplished hunter and guide. Jesse is great with kids and loves meeting new people.
Jesse says, "I started hunting about the time I could pick up a BB gun, but I didn't discover duck hunting till I was 14 or 15. I haven't been able to quit that addiction yet, and I don't really plan to. I enjoy guiding because I get to help others experience the sport, and growing relationships with clients makes it almost like hunting with friends. Whether hunting on my own time or with clients, I always enjoy time in the blind."
Meet Jacob:
Jacob is my son. He started duck hunting about the same time I did, which I guess would have made him about 11. He guided his first hunt before he could drive, and he's grown a lot since then. At 22, he's a seasoned professional.
Jacob appears to be pretty laid back, but don't let that fool you. He takes his job seriously, and he loves to duck hunt. One of his favorite things is the rush that comes with hearing ducks fly in perfectly to the decoys. He enjoys watching them hit the water almost as much as his four-legged buddy does.

Meet Tanner:
Tanner came to us a couple of years ago, and has done a fantastic job.
Tanner says, "My father and grandfather introduced me to hunting and fishing at a very young age. Deer hunting started it all. However, the first morning I went duck hunting and saw a group of mallards dropping from the tree tops with their feet down and wings cupped, I knew the addiction was only beginning, I've hunted multiple flyways and have been as far north and south as you can get in the states. I've guided off and on and look forward to sharing a duck blind with new folks. My favorite thing about guiding is watching the younger generation get involved to keep the sport alive in the years to come."
